Abstract

This study delves into the linguistic-cultural and pragmatic dimensions of the French language, focusing on the concept of "Fear." Employing lexical-semantic analysis through distributive and component-contextual methods, the research aims to classify synonyms related to fear and analyze their semantic characteristics. Drawing from the works of renowned scholars in linguistics and emotion studies, the study addresses the unresolved issues surrounding the conceptualization and classification of emotions. The findings shed light on the linguistic nuances and cultural implications of fear expressions in French, offering valuable insights for cross-disciplinary research in linguistics, psychology, philosophy, and related fields.
